Chris Sale – Arguably the best pitcher in the American League, I love his matchup against the struggling Red Sox. He hasn’t been striking as many guys out as of late, but is still well over 9.00 K/9 on the year. The White Sox have also won 7 games in a row and have been scoring a lot of runs, so run support should be no issue for Sale today. I like Max Scherzer, but I like Sale even more today.

Clayton Kershaw – Kershaw is going to be tough to fade today even with his incredibly high price tag. He has pitched 26 innings in his last 3 starts, and has 38 K’s in those innings and only allowing 14 hits. He may have “struggled” a little early in the season but he is gaining on Scherzer for the Cy Young in the National League. He has given up 1 ER in July so far, and is on an incredible run right now.

Noah Syndergaard – This should be a pretty low scoring game tonight between the Mets and Padres, but I really think that Syndergaard will completely shut down the Padres. They have 51 runs in 20 July games which is under 3 a game, and other than Kemp and Upton, there isn’t much else in their lineup. They have the 3rd most K’s in the MLB and I expect that rate to continue tonight.

Anibal Sanchez – On a night where there aren’t a ton of great pitching options, I really like Sanchez against a Rays offense which is not good at home or against righties. Sanchez has 115 K’s in 131 IP which is very solid and has won 7 of his last 8 starts while lowering his ERA to 4.59. If he can keep the ball in the park tonight (21 HR allowed), I expect him to pitch a gem of a game.

Corey Kluber – This was a difficult decision because I love Max Scherzer, but Kluber going against the White Sox is just too hard to pass up. The White Sox have one of the worst offenses in all of baseball, and an Ace like Kluber is the perfect type of guy to take advantage of this. He averages well above 9.00 K/9 and tonight I expect him to get around that 10 mark while going 7-8 innings as well.
