King Felix had a disastrous last start giving up 7 ER and 5 walks which was easily his worst of the season. He only gave up 7 ER in all of April and 6 ER in May before that last start so I don’t expect another start like that for a long time. Even with that horrendous start, he still has 75 K’s in 75 IP, a sub 1.00 WHIP, a 2.63 ERA, and 8 wins.

NFL Breakout Ballers: Sam Bradford

June 5, 2015 | Category: NFL

For NFL fantasy enthusiasts: Sam Bradford hasn’t been able to stay healthy in his career since being drafted 1st overall by the St. Louis Rams back in 2010. Bradford, when healthy has proven to be an above average starting quarterback in the NFL. Pair Bradford with offensive guru Chip Kelly, and his fast paced spread offense (Similar offense Bradford ran in college with the Oklahoma Sooners), it should be a match made in football heaven. Bradford comes over to the Eagles after being traded this offseason from the St. Louis Rams for Nick Foles. Bradford’s two full seasons as a starter he showed flashes of why he was the #1 overall pick. In Kelly’s spread offense, Bradford has the experience in the system, with a quick and accurate release. He also has an arsenal of receivers and an old Sooners teammate to complement the high potent offense.

Odorizzi seems like another Rays pitcher who just gets things done. The list seems to keep growing with Shields, Price, Archer, Moore, and now Odorizzi who is really becoming one of the better pitchers in the MLB. On the year, he has 59 K’s in 72 IP, basically a 1.00 WHIP, a 2.61 ERA and 4 wins. These are all solid numbers across the board and while you hope for a few more strikeouts, he is going against the Mariners who seem to be doing that a lot lately. They have climbed to a tie for the 3rd most strikeouts in the MLB with 451 and have the 27th best batting average at .237 which doesn’t bode well for them today.

Fantasy Football Team Showcase: Green Bay Packers

June 5, 2015 | Category: NFL

The Green Bay Packers (12-4 record and 1st in the NFC North) are coming off of a 2014 season where they were a five minute meltdown away from going to the Super Bowl. We saw the best quarterback in the league continue his elite prowess over the entire NFL on a weekly basis. New comer Julius Peppers brought a veteran consistency to a struggling Packers defense from last season. Eddie Lacy took a big step in his second season in the NFL, and provided a balance on an already highly productive offense. With incoming rookies filling the defensive backfield to help slow down the pass happy teams in the NFC North. The Packers should be the favorites to win the NFC North and one of the top contenders in the entire NFL.

Kuechel has been a stud all year long, and has put in a solid campaign for the cy young so far this year. Sure, he may only have 60 K’s in 81 IP, but he does everything else well. He has wins this year, only 74 combined hits and walks, and has a 1.76 ERA this season.
