This is a super difficult day to pick pitchers, because there isn’t that stud going. I do believe that Garrett Richards is the best of the bunch today, and is the way to go for cash games. His last start was a complete disaster where he only pitched 2/3 of an inning and gave up 6 ER. Before that game though, he had a 3.26 ERA and had been pitching pretty well all year long.
Each NFL season means new players, new coaches, and in some cases, a newly invented team. However, don’t forget new changes to the rulebook. Many rules are put into place with the player’s safety in mind. An example is from a rule alteration in the 2013 season in which it is illegal for ball-carriers and tacklers to lead with the crown of their helmets when the two players are outside of the tackle box. This allows a lesser chance for players to suffer a concussion. Here are some of the more recent changes to the NFL rules and the affect on fantasy football…
Webb Simpson – He may not be a flashy golfer like Rory, Spieth, or Tiger/Phil, but Simpson finds a way to play good golf on just about any course. Now with these guys you obviously want a win, but a top 10 finish is nothing to scoff at either. Simpson has made 10/11 cuts this year with 6 top 25 finishes, 4 top 10 finishes and a runner up which isn’t too shabby. He hasn’t played in close to a month so he might be a little rusty, but mentally and physically he should be in a good spot.
I really hope that Bauer does not disappoint like Corey Kluber did last night. Kluber pitched a good game, but for fantasy purposes it wasn’t good for his price. Bauer is one for studs on the Indians rotation, and tomorrow I expect a great game.
